Pen Blanks in Texas Woods
Many of my Texas woods are very attractive and can make for beautiful and eye-catching pens. As I saw logs and mill the wood for lumber and turning blanks, I am always alert for nicely-figured and colorful wood that would be suitable for such pens.
I have limited quantities of the blanks listed below. They are generously sawn to "Texas size", approximately 1" by 1" by 5" to 6" and I sell most of them for $2 each with no minimum (those Mistletoe Mesquite burl, Huisache and Texas Ebony blanks are $3.00 each). However, when you consider the cost of postage, you may find that you can get "more" pen blanks for the same shipping cost as "less" pen blanks!
These pen blanks are the only wood on my website that are truly kiln-dried. My only drying facility beyond simple, outdoor air-drying lumber stacks is a small solar kiln. It is suitable for the pen blanks but not for larger blocks, so most of the wood on my website is green to partially air-dried.

Nothing here that suits your needs?
Then send me an email at: l.stahl@maroon.com
or a telephone call at: 281-392-5336
There is a possibility that I have more, either cut into blocks or in the rough log,
so I may be able to meet your specific requirements.
If not - send an email with your requirements and I will put it into my "wood requested by species" files and
see if I can cut it next time I have a log of that species up on the mill.
